Go down to 60 metres underground like a real miner!
Located between Liège and Maastricht, Blegny-Mine is one of the four authentic coal mines in Europe whose underground galleries can still be visited through the original shaft.
Wearing a jacket and a helmet, you go down the mine cage to 30 and 60 metres underground to understand how coal was extracted. You will discover the cross-cuts, the coal face, the noise of the machines and the work of the men: the hard yet fascinating world of the miners.
Back “at ground level”, follow the path of the coal through the sorting and washing plant, from the arrival of the ore to its dispatch.
